A neighbor led community initiative
The Sunshine Gardens Park Coalition is a community-driven organization with a common goal of creating a park in the Sunshine Gardens neighborhood. Our goal is to help and support the city and school district to make this vision a reality. We provide a shared voice from the community and are here to support in any way we can to move this initiative forward.
Our Mission
To bring a much needed park to Sunshine Gardens in order to provide a shared outdoor space for residents and to build community with our neighbors. We are seeking to find a solution that creates zero cost and maintenance to the school district with additional benefits of usable outdoor space for the school to enjoy while giving the neighborhood a space to unwind year round.

We can always use more ideas and skills to help the initiative. The Core team meets virtually for 30 min every few weeks and connects offline as needed. Email support@sgpark.info to learn more and see how you might be able to get involved.
